It may be surprising to some, but the word robot was coined in this theatrical work (full name: Rossum's Universal Robots), conceived by a czech writer Karel Čapek. In his imagination, the robots were made to look almost identical to humans (they had been "born" out of a petri-dish of sorts). In the poster, I illustrate the loss of humanity that occures with mass-producing/cloning sentient beings. The poster was selected (out of nearly 600 entries) to be featured in exhibition and catalogue of 18th International Biennale of Theatre Poster in Rzeszów, Poland.
